Gailord and my Dad were cousins, my Dad is Mel Knudson (son on Molly and Jacob Knudson) Not only were they cousins they were good friends. I had the blessing of stopping a Gailords many times. He was such a kind man and always so happy to see us. They would talk of the old times after they returned from WWII. Ours condolences to your family. Dad was unable to attend to services as he is now blind but he will miss Gailord deeply.

Dear John, Gail, Kathie, Jack,Jana, & family,
We left for Montana the first part of January and did not return till yesterday. Our Harlan Papers are forwarded to us by Tom’s Agri-Diesel after a few weeks, so we just learned of your father’s passing from our mom, Helen, today. We wanted to extend our sympathy to you and let you know we are certainly thinking of you. He was such a good man and we know you must have so many wonderful memories of your time with him. He’s reunited with your mom now and what a celebration that must be 🙂
May God be with you now and always. Tom & Linda Lund

John, Gail, Kathie, Jack and Jana,
I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad, although words cannot express grief. If there is anything a young girl needs in her life (according to me) it is a Special Uncle. I want to Thank You for sharing your Dad with me as he was and is the best Uncle that walked this earth. How Blessed I was and am to call your Dad………Uncle Gailard.
